Adventurous singles across the country have a new tool in their pack for finding a mate.
LuvByrd, a dating platform for outdoor enthusiasts previously only available in Colorado, is now available across the country.
To get started on the app or website, users create profiles with the standard information like name, age, sex and location. Then it’s time to get down to business and open up about your outdoorsey side and list your favorite summer activities, favorite winter activities and where you most like to do them. You’re also asked to write a little about your craziest outdoor adventure, something on your bucketlist and what is your favorite activity and why. Then you browse profiles and favorite and message those you’d like to connect with.

Founder Mike Keshian, a competitive skier and commercial fisherman, started LuvByrd because he couldn’t find a partner that shared his love of the outdoors and could “keep up with him on the slopes.”
“LuvByrd came to me as a lightbulb idea after seeing a FarmersOnly.com commercial, and I thought there should be a dating site for ski bums only,” Keshain told the Observer. “Then realizing how niche that would be, I started thinking of incorporating everything people enjoy doing in the outdoors.”

“One day I started talking with someone who I’ve now been dating since the beginning of LuvByrd,” he said. “We’re able to chase each other down the mountain in the winter, and in the summer, enjoy sitting by the fire after a long day hiking.”
